The Ashanti Fashion Industry Network (AFIN) is set to host its Maiden Fashion Industry Stakeholders Conference under the theme, “Weaving Creativity and Commerce: Advancing Sustainable Fashion for Tourism and Trade Excellence in Ghana.”
This landmark event, scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Kumpley Auditorium, College of Engineering – KNUST, brings together key players from the fashion, tourism, and creative sectors to explore innovative pathways for sustainable growth and cross-industry collaboration.
The conference will feature distinguished guest speakers including the Hon. Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the Ashanti Regional Minister, the Major of Kumasi Metro, the CEO of Tours Ghana Ltd, and the Chairman of the Ashanti Fashion Industry Network (AFIN). Together, these thought leaders will engage participants in insightful discussions on how fashion can drive economic development, promote local craftsmanship, and enhance Ghana’s global presence in sustainable trade and tourism.
According to the organizers, the event aims to strengthen partnerships between designers, policymakers, and business leaders, fostering a creative ecosystem that celebrates cultural identity while embracing eco-friendly production and responsible consumption.
